Monthly Website Backups

One of the ways we set ourselves apart from the competition is by including monthly backups of your site into even our most basic hosting plan. Regardless of the hosting agreement that’s right for you, we believe that periodic website backups are a must.

Comprehensive Stats on Site Activity/Traffic

All of our sites come ready with a graphic interface that allows you to review the statistics of your website activity and traffic at anytime, from anywhere.

Database Driven or Plain HTML, at Your Option

High Security Environment

We recently setup a brand new website environment, or hosting server. All websites which receive monthly platform upgrades and security patches will be hosted in this new secure environment.  Any website that does not receive these upgrades and patches will reside on a different server.

Monthly Platform Upgrades

Platforms used in building websites are regularly updated to fix bugs, enhance performance & improve security. If these updates are not applied, performance issues may manifest themselves at some point, or the website simply may not perform as robustly as it could.

By upgrading to one of our new hosting plans, these platform upgrades will be applied to your website as soon as they are released.

Monthly Security Patches

Again, most web site platforms regularly release patches to address security vulnerabilities. Neglecting to apply these patches/updates puts your website at risk for malicious individuals to infiltrate your website, and remove/change its content, make it inoperable, or use it for distributing viruses, illegal software, etc.

Just as above, by upgrading to one of our new hosting plans, these security patches will be applied to your website as soon as they are released.

Functionality & Performance Monitoring

Your email hosting company may perform system updates on the underlying components used by your website (e.g. PHP, Apache, MySQL, etc). Occasionally an incompatibility may arise, causing certain components of a website (or the entire site), to no longer work.

We will closely and thoroughly monitor the functionality and performance of your website, and each month we will take action where needed to repair any problems which may have developed that alter and/or impair the natural functionality and performance of your website. Any work to restore the website to full functionality & performance which exceeds 1 hour per month will be billed at the Break/Fix hourly rate upon customer approval.

Appearance Monitoring

As client web browser changes continue to progress (including more types of devices browsing the internet, such as the iPad), many users’ computers/devices may no longer display your website properly; the way it would have at the time it was built.

We will review the appearance of your website in over 60 combinations of today’s most popular browsers, browser versions, operating systems, and mobile devices. Any discrepancies in the visual appearance of the website that we find or that you report to us will be addressed and repaired. Any work to improve the visual appearance of the website which exceeds 1 hour per month will be billed at the Break/Fix hourly rate upon customer approval.

Content Monitoring

Up-to-date and fresh content is critical to every website. Phone numbers, email & physical addresses along with other types of critical information change over time. External links embedded in your website may no longer be valid. Changes to regulatory information, professional memberships, or other information relating to your company or website may take place. Additionally, it’s important to add new and/or modify existing articles in your website in order to keep both Google and your visitors coming back for more.

Each month we will put forth our best effort to verify that your contact information is still correct. We will also confirm that every link throughout your website works correctly. Additionally, we will ask you if you are aware of any other information on your site that needs updated. We will spend 30 minutes each month working on revisions/additions that you request or that we see fit to make in your behalf. Any work to revise/add to the website which exceeds 30 minutes per month will be billed at the Break/Fix hourly rate upon customer approval.

SEO Monitoring

There are MANY factors that play a role in your website’s Search Engine Optimization. Through our own experience and research, we have compiled a comprehensive list of over 30 SEO items which every website we build should be compliant with. Each month we will use our precise tools and expertise to determine how well your site is doing, and what improvements can be made.

Based on the results of our analysis, we’ll sort through any and all issues that are negatively impacting the search engine friendliness of your site in order of importance. We will work each month to resolve these issues, starting with the highest priority. Over time, this may greatly impact the SEO of your website. Any work to improve the Search Engine Optimization of the website which exceeds 30 minutes per month will be billed at the Break/Fix hourly rate upon customer approval.
* (SEO is an imprecise “science”. Although we can do our part to ensure that your website is optimized properly, we cannot guarantee that this will produce results. Ultimately your website’s position and ranking among other sites lies in the hands of the search engines themselves.)

Comprehensive Monthly Reports

Each month after we have performed all of the above services, we will email you a report with an overview of the Security, Functionality, Performance, Appearance, Content and SEO status of your website. We’ll outline those things which we found to be perfectly sound with your site, as well as anything we found that needed (and/or may continue to need) attention.
